Listen to our trans elders.

Our second project was one of the most beautiful projects I’ve ever been a part of, creating the visuals, designs, animations, and soundtracks for TLC’s vision for time capsules of wisdom from our glorious trans elders, not about the usual stories we hear about trans people, but the futuristic, the dreamy, the psychedelic what if’s of liberation and freedom. Not often do we get to make work that dreams into the future we seek. but in this project we got to. And it was beautiful. (And we also won an SF Design Week award.)

Hate Crime Laws are Copaganda.

Our first project working with TLC was about creating more understanding around hate crime laws, and why they harm communities. Our participatory methods went beyond just the process (of using an advisory council and embedded teammates); the voices and the music for these video pieces were from the TLC staff and their community. This was a video campaign, but also included informational carousels to educate people about the harms of hate crime laws.
